Wauchula musician to release first full-length album

Jason K. Thompson, a singer/songwriter and music teacher from Wauchula, Florida, is releasing a brand new album, Consumed, on most online streaming and download platforms as well as his website, The digital release date for downloads and streaming is Tuesday, June 26. The physical CDs will be available in mid to late July. Interested music lovers can preview the album by listening to a few of the songs at or searching “Jason K. Thompson” on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.

The self-released album is Thompson's first full-length work, although he has had several singles available on Spotify, iTunes and other places online for a few months.

The album is comprised of an eclectic collection of original songs that are primarily in the southern or blues rock style. The lyrics are mostly Christian themed, and the point of the album is to help and/or encourage people to find the joy that Jesus brings in a depressing world.

The album was funded partially by an online crowdsourcing campaign on Kickstarter, where he described the project as an “outreach album” designed to bring positive and Christian messages to music lovers who would not normally listen to “contemporary Christian” music.
